When using these directions you may notice that some settings are not listed here. Please be sure to follow these directions and only make changes to the options listed. All other defaults are OK as is and/or not important to using E-mail through AceWeb.

    Mail Relay
    - Mail relay allows you to use the AceWeb outgoing mail server to send email from a different domain.



    Eudora Mail
    1. Load your Email program.
    2. Select Tools from the toolbar at the top of the program, then select Options.
    3. Click on Getting Started.
    4. Under Login Name, be sure your username is followed by @aceweb.com For example: username@aceweb.com.
    5. Set the Incoming Mail Server to pop3.aceweb.com
    6. Set the Outgoing SMTP Server to: smtp.aceweb.com
    7. The Return Address should be same as your Login Name (ex. username@aceweb.com).
       

     

    Internet Mail (Internet Explorer 3.0)

    1. Load your Email program.
    2. Select Options from theMail menu.
    3. Check Send Messages Immediately.
    4. Click on the Server tab.
    5. Check the Email Address to insure that it is your username@aceweb.com
    6. If you are using Windows 95 also:
    7. Click on the Advanced Settings button.
    8. Check the Reply To: Address to insure that it is your username@aceweb.com




    Outlook Express 4.0 (Internet Explorer 4.0/Win. 98)
    1. Load Outlook Express
    2. Select Options from theTools menu.
    3. Click on the Send tab.
    4. Check Send Messages Immediately.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
    7. Click the Add Button.
    8. Select Mail from the drop-down menu.
    9. Enter your name in the Display Name field.
    10. Click the Next button.
    11. Enter your Email Address.(Make sure you use your username@aceweb.com)
    12. Click the Next button.
    13. Select POP3 from the drop down menu.
    14. Fill in the Incoming mail(POP3) server fields with pop3.aceweb.com
    15. Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with smtp.aceweb.com
    16. Click the Next button.
    17. Check Log on using.
    18. Enter your Email Address.(Make sure you use your username@aceweb.com)
    19. Enter your password into the Password field.
    20. Click the Next button.
    21. Enter AceWeb Mail into the Internet mail account name field.
    22. Click the Next button.
    23. Select Connect using my phone line.
    24. Click the Next button.
    25. Select your modem from the drop down menu.
    26. Click the Next button.
    27. Select Using an existing dial-up connection. (Select AceWeb).
    28. Click the Next button.
    29. Click the Finish button.
    30. Click the Close button

    1. Start Outlook, Select Services on the Tools menu.
    2. In the Services dialog, click Internet Mail information service, and click Properties. If Internet Mail is not listed, click Add, click Internet Mail, then click OK.
    3. Enter your real name into the Real Name field. > Click NEXT
    4. Enter your Email Address.(Make sure you use username@aceweb.com) > Click NEXT
    5. Fill in the Incoming Internet Mail Server POP3 field with pop3.aceweb.com.
    6. Fill in the Outgoing Internet Mail Server SMTP field with smtp.aceweb.com > Click NEXT
    7. Enter your Email Address.(Make sure you use your username@aceweb.com)
    8. Enter your password into the Password field. > Click NEXT and then finish.
    9. Click Apply. Click OK

     Netscape Navigator Mail (Netscape 2.0 or 3.0)
    1. Load Netscape.
    2. Select Mail and News Preferences from the Options menu.
    3. Click on the Server tab.
    4. Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with smtp.aceweb.com.
    5. Fill in the Incoming mail (POP3) server fields with pop3.aceweb.com.
    6. Fill in the POP3 Server Name field with your email address. (Make sure you use your username@aceweb.com).
    7. Fill in the news (NNTP) server field with cnews.newsguy.com
    8. Click on the Identity tab.
    9. Fill in the Your Name field.
    10. Fill in the Your Email field.
    11. Click on the Organization tab.
    12. Check Remember mail password.
    13. Click OK.

    Mail Relay


    Our Server supports Relaying Mail for other Internet services provided you follow these instructions.To relay mail @yourdomain.com you will have to perform the following procedure:

    1. Setup your @aceweb.com POP3 Account and verify that it is working.

      Mail servers are as follows:

      POP3: pop3.aceweb.com
      SMTP: smtp.aceweb.com

    2. Setup your @yourdomain.com email address using the same mail program as the AceWeb mail account.

    3. You will have to change the SMTP MAIL SERVER of your @yourdomain.com account to smtp.aceweb.com

    4. Select "My Server Requires Authentication" for all accounts including your AceWeb Account. Log on using your AceWeb username and password. Do Not select "Log on using Secure Password Authentication"

    4. When checking mail, both accounts should be logging in to their appropriate POP3 Servers.

    5. The key to allowing the port to relay mail is you will have to check the @aceweb.com mail account first. Once you have checked mail with your AceWeb account the port will be available for relay for 30min per session.
