Macintosh Setup OS X - System Configuration

1. Click the Apple Menu, select System Preferences

2. Click on the Network icon

3. For the Show option, choose Internal Modem
4. Click on the TCP/IP Tab
5. For Configure, choose Using PPP
6. In the Domain Name Servers box, type 216.52.254.1 and 216.52.254.33
7. In the Search Domains box, type aceweb.com





8. Click on the PPP tab
9. In the Telephone Number field, type the local access number
10. In the Account Name field, type in your AceWeb email address
11. In the Password field, type in your password






12. Click the PPP Options button
13. Check the Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications box
14. Uncheck the Prompt to maintain connection box
15. Uncheck the Disconnect if idle box
16. Check the Disconnect when user logs out box
17. Click the OK button





18. Click on the Proxies tab
19. Uncheck all the boxes

20. Click on the Modem tab
21. Choose Apple Internal 56K Modem (v.90) from the Modem menu
22. In the dialing section, select tone
23. Check the Show modem status in menu bar box
24. Click the Apply Now button

25. To connect to the internet, open up your internet browser (ie Internet Explorer or Netscape)
